The Winter Garden 100 started the new year strong, hosting its first quarterly meeting of 2025 and showcasing three incredible non-profits making a real difference in our community.
This quarter, our members had the opportunity to learn about organizations focused on addressing critical needs, from childhood hunger to providing essential support for families and children.
The presenting non-profits were:
- Blessings in a Backpack (Orlando Chapter): Working to end childhood hunger by providing food on the weekends for elementary school children who might otherwise go hungry.
- Central Florida Lions Eye Bank: Restoring sight through the recovery and distribution of eye tissue for transplantation, research, and education.
- Sleep in Heavenly Peace: Building and delivering bunk beds to children who lack adequate sleeping arrangements.
A Night of Inspiration and Impact
Each presentation was filled with powerful stories and demonstrated the dedication these organizations have to serving our community. Our members were deeply moved by the work being done to address these vital needs.
And the Winner Is…
Congratulations to the Central Florida Lions Eye Bank for winning the Q1 presentation! Their mission to restore sight and provide hope is truly remarkable.
Spreading the Support
While the Central Florida Lions Eye Bank received the top prize, the Winter Garden 100’s commitment to supporting local causes extended to all the presenting organizations. Blessings in a Backpack and Sleep in Heavenly Peace also received donations to further their important work.
Looking Forward to a Year of Giving
The Q1 meeting was a fantastic start to 2025, and we’re excited to continue supporting the amazing non-profits in our community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together as a brotherhood and make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming meetings and the impact we’re making in Winter Garden!
